NEWPATH TENRIKYO -
BRIEFLY PONDERING RECOLLECTIONS OF THE TEACHING
From "Lectures on the Doctrine of Tenrikyo" by Shozen Nakayama the 2nd Shinbashira of Tenrikyo
"Thus this scripture, consisting of seventeen parts, may seem to us to lack
sequence in parts - that is, the Ofudesaki is not written in a way that
would permit a full comprehension through a casual reading."
Understanding the Poems then requires serious thought, deep pondering and
self-reflection and of course the ability to identify and take to heart the
poetic metaphors that are the vehicle in which the teaching is delivered.
