Newpath Tenrikyo - About these pages and YouTubes

I earnestly request each and everyone of you
to ponder deeply over these teachings.

The prose translation above is of the last poem in a series of seventeen chapters of poetry. All of the poems collected as the Tenrikyo Ofudesaki are concerned with finding ways to awaken the human self centered imagination to the experience of the joyous life that is intended in the creation of all human self-centered imaginations equally.

All of the Newpath Tenrikyo Pages and YouTubes are a part of my personal response to the above request. I should add that I am not a scholar or an Academic. I have no credentials for engaging in pondering deeply, other than the natural power that is provided to all human minds. To get a feel for this, recall that these poems were originally provided to people living in, by today's standards, a relatively remote agricultural community and that the stated goal in writing them was to find ways that would be easy for them to quickly understand and implement as they freely went about their common day to day activities.

In perhaps its simplest form, the Ofudesaki Poems are composed in the form of conversation between the single point of view and intention of the original parental consciousness that resides at the "heart" and "core" of all human minds and the multitude of self-centered intentions, self-images and points of view, that over time accumulate in our minds as authentic truths of our self and by extension as truths of our world.

Ponder deeply

These pages attempt to highlight the numerous ways in which the Poems work to make the distinction between those two points of clear to anyone who sincerely wishes to awaken to the original intention in the creation of their own human self-centered imagination. The promise is that by returning our own mind to its original condition we can replace the current insecure foundation of our thinking with the knowledge and understanding of the secure deeper foundation that is currently buried under the accumulated desires, fears and insecurities that are stealing the joy from our life. Once revealed and understood we are then able to return and "play freely" in the world of free and unlimited workings that flow from the original parental mind of all equally. In every matter thinking and enjoying life from the stable foundation and understanding of that original intention.

This universe is the body of God.
Ponder this in all matters.
So long as you remain unknowing the body is
a thing borrowed, you can understand nothing at all.
