ONE ORIGIN, ONE LIGHT REFLECTED AS MANY A word about some of the metaphors employed in these pages.
* The "Central Pillar" refers to the "Kanrodai" another metaphor, both metaphors refer to a mind that knows and understands the truth of it's origin.
** Jiba refers to the place
where human beings are made. It is what is known and can be understood by exposing
and understanding the core consciousness that the mind rises up from and
within.
*** Mud and dust refer to human thoughts that lack the truth of
their origin. Dust of course blows around and accumulates. Mud is a heavy
accumulation of dust. It is harder to shift and clean up as are the principle truths and beliefs that are not informed by the truth of their origin.
**** God's anger refers to the efforts of the children to make God's teaching
which is meant to repair and replace the unintentional suffering that the
self centered point of view has regrettably brought to the world with
a distorted worldly common self centered teaching. God's anger should be understood within the model of parental love.
***** High mountains refers to us, human beings.
****** Springwater refers to the human mind as it rises up
pure from its origin, the original consciousness.
******* Kara refers to any mind that does not know the truth of it's origin and which functions from a self-centered point of view
only.
It often appears in opposition to Nihon which is a metaphor for a self
centered mind that knows and understands the truth of its origin and which
functions from that foundation and point of view.
